$0.00 Favorite Ride: anything with a bike involved Summary: great gruppo! strong, durable, easy to use and install. also not very expensive. shifts well but i have been having problems with the cables. sometimes they slip a little bit and i cant get into the granny gear. i would definatly recommend this for a begginner rider. Strengths: strong, cheap, easy to use, great for first timers. Weaknesses: could be stiffer, no very light, have had some trouble shifting. Similar Products Used: anything shimano.

$0.00 Bike Setup: Miyata Nimbus being built for race Summary: I am currently building a road to compete with and the Shimano 105 was recommended to me. Well, I purchased it and installed it a few days later and went for a test ride. I've never been so disappointed. In the low gears, it was fine. But as soon as I shifted into the high gears, the octagon "teeth" inside the left crank stripped out so bad the crank would freespin with zero resistance Strengths: No strengths, absolute weak part. Weaknesses: The materials are incredibly poor. Yes, it is fairly light but one should make a product that is strong and light or strong and heavy. Light and weak is a very poor combination.
