at Exclusice Cycles Ver Favorite Ride: Western Dane County Bike Setup: FSA OS115 stem, FSA Energy handlebar, shimano ultegra pedals, SRAM Red, Thompson Elite Masterpiece seatpost, Fizik arione ti saddle. Cane Creek Volos (training) Lew VT1 rims/DT swiss 190 ceramic hubs (racing) Summary: This review is for a 2008 Extreme Power. The bike performs better than advertised: regardless of road surface: it is extremely smooth/comfortable. When I stand up and go, the bike is propelled forward without any energy wasted. Make sure the bike is fit to you (Colnago sizing is odd--I ride a much larger size than I would have ordered otherwise). Even though this frame is touted as a sprinters bike, I could ride it all day. Strengths: Ride is indescribable: like a bentley-you don't feel the road as you would on any other bike. Accelerates and climbs like a rocket. Handling is superb. Fit/finish is great-beautiful bike. Make sure to ride other bicycles from other manufacturers; you will feel the difference. Weaknesses: Price. Similar Products Used: Colnago C50, BMC SlC01, Giant TCR Composite, Serotta Fierte Ti.

at GVH Bikes Favorite Ride: Weekly Club Rides Bike Setup: Record Groupo, Record Wheels. Summary: I bought a C50 from GVH Bikes. I have lusted after a Colnago for years but couldn't part with the full price for a new one. Mine was a couple of years old but new - check his website he gets various sizes and brands that he comes across, but not all sizes or brands. Let me tell you this bike is a real dream ride. Of course the paint is stunning and gets a lot of compliments, but that wasn't important to me or a reason for the purchase. This bike is a great combination of terrific power, comfort and handling. You can probably can't get a better combination. I just love it. I was replacing a cabon Fondriest P4. The Fondriest cracked after 3 seasons and you can't contact anyone at the company for service - so beware Fondriest bikes. Anyway, I love this ride and I can't imagine anyone being disappointed. The geometry is slightly different and they recommend a setback seatpost with this bike. Strengths: Amazing. Stiff but comfortable. Weaknesses: Price Similar Products Used: Fondriest P4, Litespeed Classic, Cannondale, Litespeed Mtn Bikes.

at The Racer's Edge, Sa Favorite Ride: Lake Tahoe - Anywhere Bike Setup: Campy Record 10 drive train, FSA Flight bars, Zipp 404 carbon clincher wheels w/11-23 titanium cassette, Speedplay pedals, Ti brakes, Fizik saddle, Campy cables, Michelin Pro Race tires w/lightweight tubes. 53cm frameset built-up with the above weighs a tad over 15 pounds. Summary: The C50 in my opinion is the "BEST" off-the-shelf bike ever made! Asside from getting a custom build, there's nothing out there better. I love my Colnago C50. The paint scheme is absolutely stunning and always gets many compliments. I cannot think of a better bicycle on the market today and have tried riding everything that's currently available! I've gone through nearly 100 road bikes in the past couple of years only to come back to my Colnago. If you're thinking about buying one, don't waste another minute. The C50 is worth every penny! I built mine up with Campy Record 10 and love the way it shifts, corners, sprints, climbs and accelerates like no other. Call The Racer's Edge at (650) 872-4000 if you're in the market for one of these or any other pro bike you're looking for. They'll set you up with the best deal in town! Strengths: Stunning paint scheme, lightweight carbon frame w/Star fork, great lateral and bottom bracket stiffness. You can ride this bike for 8 hours in the saddle without feeling any discomfort whatsoever. And the best part about this bike is that when you're doing a steady climb at 5%-6%, you'll feel like a pro as you rocket by your competition! It's that noticeable! So if you buy something else, it's your own darn fault! Weaknesses: None. Similar Products Used: Look 595, Specialized Tarmac SL, Parlee, Klein Q-Pro XX, Trek 5.9, Cannondale System 6, Pinarello Dogma, BMC Pro Machine and many other pro bikes.
