Price Paid:  $230.00 at Direct from John

Favorite Ride:
Calaveras

Bike Setup:
2008 Specialized Roubaix Expert. New Ultegra SL group. Neuvation Wheels. Michelin Pro3 Race tires. Look Keo Sprint pedals

Summary:
I have the M28 Aero 2. These are fantastic wheels! I have been riding them for about two years and they are very solid and spin forever. When buying these, I was more interested in a solid wheel that I wouldn't have to worry about, than I was the lightest thing out there. But having said that, they seem pretty light too.

I was doing a century recently and there were three guys in front of me on a fast descent. These guys looked like serious racers and had nice kit and gear. The thing is, they were pacelining and mashing huge gears on this descent, all the while I was just sitting there, doing nothing, even touching my brakes a bit, and keeping up with them. It was actually kind of weird. And I only weigh 165.

Strengths:
Stiff. Solid. Bombproof. They coast forever. Pretty light for such as solid wheel. Stealthy quiet. John is a really good guy too.

Weaknesses:
None

Price Paid:  $235.00 at LBS

Favorite Ride:
Prather, CA

Bike Setup:
KHS Flite 750 Carbon and aluminum with ultegra group. FSA compact crankset

Summary:
I purchased these wheels at my LBS and rode them for six months. Began hearing a cracking sound coming from the rear wheel and took them back to LBS who found two hairline cracks in the rim. I'm hoping Neuvation will replace the wheel. I will wait and see. Prior to cracking they were a nice riding wheel and stayed trued.

Strengths:
Lightweight. Smooth ride

Weaknesses:
In my case the rim cracked at two spokes. I hope Neuvation will replace the wheel.

Price Paid:  $320.00 at http://www.neuvation

Favorite Ride:
Polar Bear Metric, Ride Around Wilkesboro

Bike Setup:
QR Seduza w/ full DA setup and K-Force TT Crank.

Summary:
These wheels ROCK! Holy cow they are awesome. And for the money, you just can't beat them! The $35 ceramic bearing upgrade is also an excellent choice. They spin-up quick and roll excellent. I have taken them up some pretty nasty climbs and while you may feel the weight on them a bit, the easy roll and lack of flex makes it a smooth ride. Plus, the wheels came with the skewers and spare spokes and parts. I do not know of any other company that produces this kind of value. I have the Aero3 with bladed spokes. The rear hub is nice and quiet. The best training wheel out there: period, end of story!

Strengths:
Look cool, quiet, stiff, amazing roll. Acceleration.

Weaknesses:
At this price? Absolutely none!

Price Paid:  $0.00 at neuvationcycling.com

Favorite Ride:
Santa Ana River Trail and now Huntington Beach to San Diego

Bike Setup:
'07 Felt F85 (replacement frame), full Ultegra 10, Nevation M28 Aeros.

Summary:
Another Update: After my hub took a nose dive on my second set of M28 Aeros (the Aero2s, John Neugent sent me a reconditioned rear wheel with a stronger hub. I must admit that this replacement has a completely different designed hub. It looks like it could be used for cyclocross. Anyway, I'm proud to say that I am at 2.100 miles on the new rear hub and am having no problems whatsoever. If you've had issues with yours and don't want the new rear wheel, order it and send it to me. The design is that good. Thanks John for the new rear wheel. Oddly enough, my other Felt (an '05 Felt F55) - which is used for a lot of my club rides- still has the original M28 Aeros I purchased in '05 and I climb hills all day with them. Never had a problem with them and I'm a 6'3", 198 lb. big chain ring guy. I also used to ride on those wheels when I was 232 lbs as well. Never had a problem with those. Still, I wish the wheels had the new hub like my newer ones. Anyway, thanks again John for standing behind your product. I'm still losing the weight so I can purchase a set of R28s. Your wheels rock!!!

Strengths:
New hub design, they spin forever even without ceramic bearings- longer than both of my buddies set of Shimano 7800s (the carbon and aluminum set), and as always, Neuvation's unbeatable customer service

Weaknesses:
Had flange problem on past wheelset, new rear wheel hub is a lot better so no complaints

I've lost count. Yeah, it's been that many in the last year.
