at ebay Favorite Ride: The Gaps Bike Setup: Pinnarello Surprise with Campy Record. Summary: Being too cheap and really disliking to adjust in a new pair of shoes, I had a non carbon pair of Sidi shoes for years. I now have a pair of carbon soled shoes and it is an immense difference. I can tell that I am more powerfull. Specilized euro size runs a little different from others. I usually take a 48, but I take a 47 in these. Strengths: No flex at all!!!! I can tell a huge difference from my old shoes. Weaknesses: Not too comfy to walk in due to no flex. The footbed is not the greatest. I used my own. Similar Products Used: First pair of carbon shoes.

at LBS Summary: This is an exceptional shoe - very stiff for excellent power transfer, and perfectly comfortable for day-long rides. I was wary of the varus wedge system, particularly because I had never had any major knee/hip issues, and I didn't want to change anything too much. I'm happy to say that even the minor foot/knee aches that I used to have after long rides, and which I thought were unavoidable, have disappeared. Strengths: Very comfortable. High quality and durability (virtually no signs of wear after 9000 miles). Similar Products Used: Adidas Frosco

at LBS Favorite Ride: Wind to my back Bike Setup: Serotta Ti-Legend, Full Campy Record Summary: I was having some foot problems a team mate raves about his Specialized Carbon Pro's. I am a typical roadie, I don't like to change if something works. However my current shoes had developed a nastey spot that was bruising the outside of my foot. I tried new orthopedic inserts etc. but still the same problem. So, okay I'll try the Carbon Comps. Only one 80 mile HOT andFast training ride and believe me these are comfy and airy toe box right out of the box. I have a narrow foot so I always wear Italian made shoes. Not sure where these are made but an awesome fit, very stable, great power transfer. The Wedge will change your foot position and your pedaling dynamics, but once you adjust to it, it is a plus. The strap closure is a bit finicky and they are touch heavy, but oh so comfy! Change for the good Strengths: Fit narrow feet, Body Geometry feature seem to be legit, stiff, price point is great for most any level of rider Weaknesses: Ratcheting closure is a little flakey Similar Products Used: Sidi, Nike
