Price Paid:  $8000.00 at Competitve Cyclist

    Model Year:
    2007

    Favorite Ride:
    anything without potholes

    Bike Setup:
Campy Record. Chorus Front Derailleuer. PowerTap hub

    Summary:
This bike is has it all. Comfortable for a 100 mile ride. Stiff as hell for a sprint. It's light and very pretty to boot! It tracks and corners better than anything I've ever ridden and it just wants to go fast. It's edgy in a Ferrari sort of way. You can feel this thing just WANTING to go fast and it feels real comfortable doing it.

    Strengths:
    Stiff, light, fast, and comfortable

    Weaknesses:
Too many people ask you questions about it.

Price Paid:  $3000.00 at Racer's edge Boca Ra

    Model Year:
    2007

    Favorite Ride:
    bear mtn/storm king (newburgh ny)

    Bike Setup:
full dura ace, easton ec 90 tubulars, ec 90 fork, seat post and bars, look keo carbon pedals

    Summary:
My 2007 BMC pro machine has just over 2000 miles on it. I am an avid racer who is on the bike for 10-15 hours a week. I am 5’8 185 pounds and I can sprint and climb with the best amateur level racers in south Florida/NY. For starts I ride a 53 full dura ace with Easton ec 90 aero tubulars. The complete bike is 15.86 lbs. I cannot help but chuckle when I read these reviews claiming the pro machine doesn’t descend well or the front fork isn’t stiff enough. I have gone 54 mph on this bike descending the backside of storm king mountain in New York. Anyone reading this who is acclimated to the Hudson valley knows what I’m talking about. This bike is completely predictable and very responsive. The one thing that stands out is the road feel. This bike is amazing when is comes to soaking up bumps. I would say one of its strongest attributes is its ability to climb. This bike literally climbs like it has a motor attached to it. I only have about 50 miles on the bike with the Easton rims so I am not going to go into detail regarding the feel with those rims. All the miles on the bike to date have been done with kysrium es’s. I have never felt this bike flex but I can say that I have felt the rim flex when sprinting.

    Strengths:
    climbing/descending

    Favorite Ride:
    Too many to list

    Bike Setup:
    2008 BMC Pro Machine
    Dura Ace Kit
    Ksyrium SL's
    Thomson X2 road stem
    Easton EC 70 Ergo Bars
    Easton EC 70 seatpost
    Look Keo Carbon pedals
    Fitzik Arione Saddle
    Michelin Krylion Carbon Tires

    Summary:
I actually have the new 2008 BMC Pro Machine and it's the best bike I have ever had the pleasure to ride. It truly is an AMAZING machine. It's very stiff and very comfortable. I am 6'4" 225lbs and this bike wants more than I can dish out. In a sprint there is no flex, it just wants to go; in long century rides, it doesn't leave me sore or beat up, but like I can go out and ride the next day and feel great. One of my favorite things about the Pro Machine is the cornering; you have never been on a bike that corners like this bike!!! Unbelievable! It holds a turn like a long GS ski, no flex at all. I highly recommend the Pro Machine, it's worth the cashish; you will be amazed. My BMC is a 61cm and weighs 16.9 lbs. Yeah....enough said.

    Strengths:
    Stiff, yet very comfortable
    Corners like you can't imagine
    Excelerates like a rocket
    Light!!

    Weaknesses:
    Umm..............now I have no excuses

Price Paid:  $3500.00 at Frame only

    Model Year:
    2007

    Favorite Ride:
    Look 595 Ultra

    Bike Setup:
Campagnolo Record gruppo, Campagnolo Hyperon Ultra Clincher wheels, Selle Italia Flite, Specialized handle bar, Easton seat post and stem, Look Keo pedals.

    Summary:
I always wanted one and I finally did buy it. A side for a personal love for the graphics, the overall performance is a 4 of out 5. Very comfortable, light and quite precise. I am 200 lb and for a guy my size it could be stiffer. The front end is weaker than other comparable bikes.

    Strengths:
Light and comfortable. Very forgiving on rough roads. Great climber and a great for long rides.

    Weaknesses:
The front fork is yes light but, to my opinion, too week making the bike quite unstable going downhill and not a very good sprinter. The whole front end is not as strong as I would have liked it.

    Price Paid:  $3600.00 at Contender

    Model Year:
    2006

    Favorite Ride:
    Little Cottonwood Canyon

    Bike Setup:
BMC Pro Machine: Dura-Ace, FSA K-Force carbon crank (52-38)+(11-23)Ti cassette, C.B. 4Ti pedals, Mavic SL-3, Michelline Pro-2, Zipp Ti skewers and carbon cages, Fizik Arionne, FSA K-Wing carbon bar, Ritchey WCS stem.

    Summary:
Best frame I have ever owned. I love the weight, strength, smooth ride and distinctive style. In other frames, I normally ride a size 52-53, however, on the BMC geomotry, I ride a size 51. I really like the fact that not every other rider on the road is using the same frame; perhaps its popularity is lessened by issues the two previous sponsored teams have experienced. Whatever the reason, I am happy to ride in relative distinction.

    Strengths:
Smooth ride, stiff, yet very light. Styling is awesome.

    Weaknesses:
One design flaw with regard to the lip for Shimano b-screw on the derailleur hanger; is too small, but turn the screw upside down, or put small nut on screw to secure and problem solved.
