Favorite Ride:

Bike Setup:
Cervelo Soloist Carbon
Dura Ace
Spinergy Stealth PBO FCC w/ Conti GP 4000

Summary:
These wheels have been through hell and back under my bike over the last year. I've slammed into potholes, slid out in a turn with a film of sand in it, and ended up in a pile-up...these wheels are never out of true or damaged at all. Amazing. Now comes the even better part...they are extremely comfortable! I cannot believe I don't see more of these on the road.

Strengths:
Rock Solid, responsive and yet very supple.

Weaknesses:
Can be hairy in heavy crosswinds

Price Paid:  $1200.00 at France

Bike Setup:
Fuji SL1
Full Ultegra
3T Stem and bars
Time RXS carbon pedals
Italia Thork Saddle
Spinergy Stealth FCC wheels

Summary:
Well from what i have read of the other reviews i will agree on most of the points mentioned. The only thing that i dont agree on is that theese wheels make you ride any faster. They have to be one of the most comfortable rides on the market and to get that comfort you got to sacrafice a little preformance, not a lot just a little.

Strengths:
Comfort, comfort, comfort and with all that comfort it reduces fatigue so therefore i believe can make your bike just feel a little more of a pleasure to be on (maybe this is the sensation that some of the other reviews might be mistaking with increased speed)

Weaknesses:
If you like to climb the big down side to these wheels is the amount of flex due to the pbo spokes. When putting a bit of extra power on the crank you will find that the rims can move enough to touch off the brake pads, this normally happens when climbing or sprinting. The cure is just to ajust the tension of your brake cables but be warned this may solve the rubbing rims on the way up but it will also affect the braking on the way down.

And my very nice Spinergy wheels!

Summary:
As you all might know by now, there aren't that many reviews out there about these wheels.
I faced the same problem when I was looking at these.
Nevertheless, let me tell you guys and girls that these wheels have surpassed my expectations. They not only increased my top speed while going downhill, but the ride is 5 times more comfortable than before! and it gets better, it's ridiculous how strong PBO is, you just don't have to true these things! On any stainless steel spokes, I swear, I would have had to true at least 2 times in the time that I have owned these wheels.

I used them in my Century races, or in shorter races, and they perform very well, they keep the speed very well, specially if you have tail wind. It's like a kite effect!

Obviously if you have very strong head wind or cross wind, you will get your front wheel turned, just with like any other deep section carbon rim, whether they are $5,000 or $1,200.

Take good care of them, clean them often, always refill your tire pressure, EVERY single time you go for a ride, this will make sure you are protecting your carbon wheels.

Strengths:
Stronger, stiffer, but with the smoothest ride than any other $10000000
carbon wheel out there

Weaknesses:
Sometimes it's hard to change the tire, my tires are very tight when taking them off or putting them on. But hey, who cares.

Favorite Ride:
Flatwoods

Bike Setup:
Look 486
Dura-Ace
FSA carbon cranks
Easton carbon post/stem/bars
Spinergy Stealth FCC

Summary:
So far these wheels are great. They are exceptionally comfortable because of the PBO spokes. They are not as light as some of the other carbon rims out there, but I was not looking for the lightest wheels possible, and they are also less costly that many of those other carbon wheels. The listed weight is 1500 grams, which is a bit low. Mine weighed in at around 1550 grams. These wheels give a good balance of strength, weight, and cost. They have a beautiful carbon weave, and I've gotten many compliments on them. They are not as common as Zipps, so they stand out more.

I have noticed that these wheels like to go fast, especially in a headwind. It is easier to go really fast or really slow (duh) than it is to go a moderate speed. They also hold that high speed quite well.

I've used Spinergy wheels for over a decade now, and I've never had an issue with any of them (still have a set on my MTB). I do not regret getting these instead of some of the other, more popular brands out there.

Strengths:
Strong, fast, easy to maintain speed, look great.

Weaknesses:
Pretty heavy (if 1550 grams is heavy).

Similar Products Used:
Various models of Spinergy wheels, Xentis Mark 1, Mavic aluminum hoops.
