Price Paid:  $900.00 at Internet

Favorite Ride:
Temecula to San Diego

Bike Setup:
LeMond Titanium, Ultegra Triple, Michelin Pro 2 Tires (120 PSI)

Summary:
I weigh 230 pounds and have put about 4000 miles on these rims in the past year. I will say the first 3 Months I had the rims I was breaking spokes every 100 miles, both front and rear. I sent them to the bike shop twice and finally to Reynolds Twice...needless to say I was not happy at the time..Reynolds seems to have solved the problem, since I got these rims back in september I have put over 3000 miles on them with out a single problem, no broken spokes and they have not needed to be trued. This is quite an accompishment with the area I ride...full of rough pavement and potholes..you can imagine with my 230 Pound weight these wheels are taking a beating...I have been tested and can produce watt levels of over 1000 for short burst so don't think these wheels are being used cruising around at 10 mph in the park...

Strengths:
Smooth ride, Great for Climbing...they take a beating and keep on rolling

Weaknesses:
Squeak when braking, lateral stiffness could be improved...

Price Paid:  $800.00 at Sunrise Cyclery, Log

Bike Setup:
Look 586, Ultegra triple 10.

Summary:
I have had my Attacks for 1 year and have had 3 broken spokes now on the rear wheel.
The first time it took Reynolds about 6 weeks to get them to me (I live close to their plant and delivered them and picked them up). They did loan me a wheel for LOTOJA, which was nice. Broke a spoke in March, dropped it off, they had it back at my house in less than 6 days. Now I just broke another and I am not real happy. I have less than 1500 miles on this set.
I am not a real powerful rider, I tend to be pretty strong on intervals but I don't think it's my hammering and I try to really baby my wheels. I weigh 165 Lbs.
I really do not trust my Attacks at this point

Strengths:
They are such a soft ride and they really stabilized my bike. I had issues with Easton Ascents and excessive wobble.
Reynolds has been pretty nice to deal with (I did bribe them with a case of designer Beer)

Weaknesses:
Broke 3 spokes in less than 1500 miles on rear wheel.

Price Paid:  $850.00 at ebay

Favorite Ride:
ones with climbing

Bike Setup:
Kuota Kharma

Summary:
Wheels came in unopened original box. I mounted the cassette on the Campy freehub and it would not freewheel correctly because the main seal was misaligned and caused a lot of drag. Contacted Reynolds by email and they knew of the problem (I am guessing the quality control lapsed in the Tiawan factory) and sent PDF directions to fix. The fix did not work, so Reynolds sent a new freehub body which worked perfectly. Now after riding about 500 miles I can say that these wheels are great. I did not like the original OEM Baradine pads as they squeeked so I installed Swiss Stop Yellow. These are sqeak free and work well in the Seattle (and PA) rain. However, don't be fooled - braking isn't as good as Alu rims, but it is good enough. I like these wheels because they corner well, feel aero, and I haven't had to true them at all (165 lbs). One thing I notice is they sometimes make a weird carbon banging sound with the chain but after multiple inspections there aren't any cracks or anything. I feel 100% confidant riding these wheels. Also, as my main goal in riding is long distances (centuries), these are both very comfortable and stiff. I do think carbon provise a dampinging effect making my bike more comfortable and me fresher after 100 miles. I recommend these wheels.

Strengths:
excelent warrenty service, despite freehub problem the wheel feels high quality, run true, light, good looking

Weaknesses:
warrenty issue with the freehub; braking not as good as Alu rims

Similar Products Used:
none- as this is the first carbon wheel I've owned.

Price Paid:  $0.00

Bike Setup:
Ridley Helium with SRAM Force group

Summary:
These wheels remarkably smoothed out the ride on my full carbon frame, without a big loss in rear end stiffness. Additionally the drag on descents is really appreciably low, low enough I find myself really dropping a lot of guys on the descents. I credit the wheels. I like the fact these are more or less normal wheels with a carbon rim. I can true them. You can lace them into some power-taps, get spokes from the LBS. I use the tubular DV46 UL for most races but train and race atypical courses/conditions on the Attacks. The clincher means I can use a variety of tires on diff courses. I like running wider tires for pot holed courses, grooved tires for rain.

Strengths:
Very economical for a top shelf carbon wheel. Reynolds has the best braking for carbon rims out there. Excellent company to deal with.

Weaknesses:
Blew a spoke on a finish line sprint. I blame the spoke (they were DT) but have heard some stories about Reynolds breaking spokes. Might be from the recessed nipples in the rim. My break was a few mm under the nipple so it may be related to this.

Favorite Ride:
Alp d'Huez

Bike Setup:
Pinarello F4:13. Campy Record. Specialized carbon bars. Speedplay.

Summary:
Great value. Smooth, comfortable and responsive. Love the all carbon clincher idea you get with these versitile all rounders. Bought them on my dads advice. He absolutely loves his. His Orbea Orca was really squirrely with his Ksyriums on, but now it rides nice and steady.

Strengths:
Value. Nice look. Sweet ride. Climb very well.

Weaknesses:
Fit and finish not as nice as my Zipps.

Similar Products Used:
Zipp 404 tubs. (can't train daily on tubs - don't want to get stuck with a flat far from home)
