Price Paid:  $80.00 at E-Rudy

Favorite Ride:
Springer Mountain

Bike Setup:
Bottecchia with Ultegra/FSA and for MTB a Yeti with XT/XTR/Race FAce

Summary:
I have 2 Rudy Helmets. One for MTB and this one for the road. I've tried several helmets before trying the Rudys and these are by far the best for the buck. If you buy from E-Rudy you can get a gear bag for $24 more.

Strengths:
Fit, Price, Finish, protective bag, weight

Weaknesses:
I don't like the little chrome tail

Similar Products Used:
Trek, Bell, Giro

Price Paid:  $80.00 at Rudy project

Favorite Ride:
All of them

Bike Setup:
Scott CR1 Team

Summary:
I've been looking for a new helmet for quite a while really wasn't thrilled with the selection locally. Finally decided to take a chance and ordered the Rudy Actyum direct from Rudy Project. What a treat! This is definitely superior to Gyro, Bell and Specialized. The fit and finish is absolutely first rate. The bug net is also a nice plus as are the extra pads. I wish they made ski helmets too, I would buy one. More shops should sell these.

Strengths:
Fit
Finish
Bug net
Extra padding
Removable visor
Ventilation
Retention system

Weaknesses:
None

Similar Products Used:
Giro
Specialized

Price Paid:  $80.00 at eBay

Favorite Ride:
Cool and long

Bike Setup:
Merlin Extralite with all Dura-Ace components.

Summary:
I recently got the Rudy Project Actyum off eBay, after debating between that and the Gyro Ionis. I am so glad I went with the Actyum. It looks and feels much nicer than the Ionis even down to the shell finish of the helmet. The Ionis feels like cheap high gloss plastic, where as the Actyum has more of a matte finish. The Ionis on eBay is typically $160 and the Actyum is typically about $80-90. Much nicer lid...

Strengths:
Finish, fit, bug net option and looks...

Weaknesses:
None identified yet

Similar Products Used:
Bell and Gyro
