at LBS Model Year: 2007 Favorite Ride: Any ride with hills Bike Setup: Ultegra shifters, front and rear derailleurs, Easton EC90SL fork and wheels, Conti GP 4000 tires, WTB Silverado seat, Easton EA70 bars and tape Summary: I was immediately impressed with how stable this bike was at speed (40+). I also liked the way the bike handles the high speed downhill sweepers, like it's on rails, really nice. Strengths: Competitive weight, great looks, very good handling. Weaknesses: Not REAL light, no frame mounted cable adjusters Similar Products Used: Masi Grand Corsa, Cannondale R500, Motobecane Spirit

at Internet Classified Model Year: 2006 Bike Setup: Record 10spd Carbon all around.
Ksyrium SSC, Look 369 pedals Summary: I built up the bike with Record carbon and Mavic Ksyrium SSC. Bike is very responsive, light, and perfect for week-end warriors. Strengths: Very light. Stiff bottom bracket. Great value for the money. Great paint job. Weaknesses: No shifter adjuster mounts. A real pain. You can't make adjustments on the fly. You can't mount Jagwire in-line...not enough room. Similar Products Used: Giant, Trek

at Bike shop Model Year: 2007 Favorite Ride: Down hills Bike Setup: Capnolo Centaur
Mavic Rims Summary: Unfortunately for me the Masi isn,t that good. I have cracked the frame on the down tube twice there seems to be some seriouse problems with strength. I am in the 90 kilogram range and the frame isn,t strong enough for my weight. Strengths: I changed the groupset to Campagnolo Centaur this is great gear the wheels are mavic these too are a fantastic product. Weaknesses: Frame not strong enough. Similar Products Used: My old 91 Colnago. Still alive and well.

at Bike Force Perth Wes Model Year: 2006 Favorite Ride: Any where the sun shines. Bike Setup: Full Shimano 105, RD Ultegra, Wheels R600
Easton EC90SL fork, Ritchey Pro stem and bar (Al), Masi (Velo) seat, Vittoria Diamente Pro tires. Masi brand Al carbon
wrap seat post, FSA headset, Easton "beartrap" headset adjuster. Summary: My bike is the Australian spec version 2006 (I think) Easton EC90SL forks and some what of a semi custom build. The Australian spec uses a FSA crankset mine has Shimano 105 I also upgraded the wheels to R600 (ultegra wheels),550 standard. I own the silver and black bike which was the Ulterga spec bike in Aust. It is my first real road bike. I am very happy with it and the way the bike handles. The frame is quite stiff and it transfers power when sprintng up hill well, the bike just takes off. The frame transfers some road vibration, I pump the tires to 130 psi and think the vibation is due to the frames stiffness which according to some people is a good thing to have in a race bike. The most I have ridden the bike in one go is 3 hours and i have no complaints with the comfort of the bike. I brought the bike on the recomendation of the shop. I could find no reviews on the net hence this post. The brand has a long history but from what I have found out it is difficult to link the current Masi's to Masi's of old. The brand is now owned by HARO which reassures me to the bikes quality. I would recommend the bike to others I think my bike was very good value for money for a full carbon bike. I hope his review is of use to people I have limited bike knowleage so have little to compare it to. My other bikes are MTB. Strengths: Easton EC90SL fork, Ritchey bar and stem (Al). Value for money. Brand owned by HARO Weaknesses: Some reviewers on this site don't like the tires. I have no problems with them. They handle ok and not flats so far! Seat post looks like carbon but is AL wrapped with thin layer of carbon otherwise none. Similar Products Used: Test rides on Trek 5000 and 1500.
