Price Paid:  $0.00 at Trek

Favorite Ride:
any

Bike Setup:
2007 LeMond Tete De Course

Summary:
This wheelset, as clinchers, came with my 2007 LeMond Tete De Course. I've got a grand total of 297 miles on them and have had to true the rear wheel twice already. These wheels are an absolute piece of junk!

Strengths:
None. Ok, maybe they look pretty, but that's it.

Weaknesses:
Look cheap, feel cheap, and not worth the price. These wheels aren't even in the same ballpark as my Zipp 404's

Similar Products Used:
Zipp 404's and Mavic Carbone

Price Paid:  $1895.00

Bike Setup:
Trek 5500; all DA

Summary:
As an "older", not so strong rider, I need all the help I can get. I ride a Trek carbon and demoed these wheels for a weekend. After selling the house and car, I put a set on and I simply can't say enough good about them. The big difference for me is that after reaching a higher speed (everything is relative) I am able to stay there for a least 4 times longer. Acceleration has not suffered despite a few grams over my previous set. Sell the kids and get these wheels. Keith and HED together? That's all I need to say.

Strengths:
Fast, beautiful

Weaknesses:
None so far, except I miss the house.

Similar Products Used:
Mavic Ksyrium

Price Paid:  $0.00

Bike Setup:
Litespeed Ultimate, full D/A 10 spd.

Summary:
This review is for the 5.0 carbon clincher.

Borrowed this sweet set of hoops from LBS for a day. WOW! I've ridden most every kind of wheel out there, and whatever Hed and Bontrager did to these to make them stand out, I don't know, but they do stand out from the crowd. Sexiest wheels ever, but noticable faster than Ksyrium SL's as well. More top end speed, no weight penalty on the climbs. Best set of wheels ever, and I'm trying fo figure out a way to justify a set right now. They are spendy, but the best usually are.

Strengths:
Sweetest wheel I ever used, period. Plus, the warranty is outstanding.

Weaknesses:
Very spendy, but you know that going into the deal, so you can't really complain about it.

Similar Products Used:
Every wheel out there, no kidding.

Price Paid:  $1600.00 at LBS

Favorite Ride:
mine

Bike Setup:
TCR Advanced TMO, Record with DA 10 cranks, Wipperman chain, RAM bar, Toupe saddle

Summary:
Super wheels, strong, sexy, fast... Great everyday wheel, you can pound em and they stay happy and healthy. I weigh 180lbs so I'm not protour skinny. These wheels are worth their weight in gold.

Strengths:
Light, stiff, fast, sexy, cheaper than other carbons

Weaknesses:
None to date. Ah, gluing tubs.

Similar Products Used:
Cosmic Carbones, xXx Lite tubs, Eurus, Ksyrium SLs, Rolf Primas....
